Dance Classes

Our Salsa dance classes, based on the Cuban and New York (cross-body-lead) styles, are fun for you and easy to learn. Everybody male and female, age from 16 or over, dress in comfortable outfits; just turn up (with someone or on your own).

All the learners meet on the dance floor and pair up. The Instructor demonstrates a simple routine (varies every week) of Merengue which is a carnival like dance from Dominican Republic. Pairs dance to the music under ongoing instructions and change partners. Thus, everybody warms up and, at the same time, gets to know one another.

Classes, under seperate instructors, are formed and the levels are:

BEGINNERS Starting Salsa for the very first time. The instructor takes everyone forward with basic dancing steps, lead, posture, simple body movements etc. IMPROVERS/INTERMEDIATES Cover basic steps, various dance moves (simple spin to impressive turns), techniques, postures, leads, responses etc. ADVANCED Enables you to dance sophisticated moves with precision and confident posture; you will gradually develop a unique art of combining dance moves and flowing on as second nature. Classes are followed by free-style dancing with DJ's music. All learners are encouraged to dance with as many partners as wished irrespective of levels. All venues are provided with superb facilities including wooden dance floor, licensed bar, free in or around car parking, etc.
